My name is Jessica Bevins. The 2017-2018 school year will be my 8th year teaching. I teach at Madison Southern High School in Berea, KY (Go Eagles!). I have taught Integrated Science I & II, Stem Seminar, Biology, AP Environmental Science, and AP Biology in my time here. I was an Environmental Biologist for 5 years before coming to the age-old teaching profession. What does an Environmental Biologist do? I specialized in aquatic macroinvertebrates (or water bugs!). I was blessed to tromp around the streams, rivers, and lakes of this beautiful state of KY sampling and assessing their health with a great group of biologists. This experience led me back to the classroom to inform others that they can have wonderful, fun, adventurous, and exciting careers in Biology. I am married to Mr. Bill Bevins, a math teacher and basketball coach here at Madison Southern. We have two wonderful sons, Aaron, who is 8, and Daniel who is 3. I enjoy the outdoors a great deal as you might imagine. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, and fishing. I also enjoy deer hunting with my father. Have any other questions about myself, my family, or our class? Don't hesitate to ask.

Remind
This is a free and safe text messaging/app/email service for teachers to communicate with students and parents. Students and parents can sign-up by sending a text message or email to a number ALL students will receive in class AND on their syllabus. You do not have to give me your number or have mine to stay in communication about the classroom. I will be using this service to communicate throughout the year.
